Missing woman found after becoming lost in Zoar Valley

GOWANDA N.Y. (WIVB) – After four hours of searching, a woman was found in Zoar Valley.

A woman believed to be in her 20s had called for help on her cell phone when she got lost in the woods by herself around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. Around 50-75 first responders combed the state park looking for her.

Ultimately, she found herself out of the trees by stumbling onto Gowanda Zoar Road. She went into a home for help.

News 4 was there when she was returned to her vehicle. She appeared to be physically fine, just a little distraught.

Zoar Valley covers almost 3,000 acres.
