Career fair and cookout set for Friday


BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – The Buffalo Employment and Training Center (BETC) is hosting a career fair and cookout on Friday, July 25, 2014, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

More than 30 companies are confirmed as participants in the career fair at the BETC, 77 Goodell Street in Buffalo. Among those companies are Seneca Gaming Corp., NFTA, UPS, Catholic Health, Rural Metro, Medaille College, People Inc., Adecco, and Bryant & Stratton.

One of the sponsors of the career fair is the Steps to Succeed = Steps to Achieve Academy of Empowerment program. The programs aims to overcome the barriers facing formerly incarcerated adults who are seeking jobs. The career fair, however, is open to all job seekers.
