Latest 4Warn Forecast from Meteorologist Don Paul:
A cold front sinking to the SE away from the metro area will still trigger some scattered showers across the southern tier and a few tshowers in northern PA late this afternoon. Behind this front, temperatures are cooler and humidity is slowly falling. As promised, we’ll have “better sleeping weather” overnight, with partly cloudy skies and some AM valley fog. Thursday will be cooler and drier with more abundant sunshine, and temperatures will edge up a few degrees on a lovely Friday. As for the weekend, an approaching area of low pressure will begin to increase the threat of scattered showers & tshowers by mid/late Saturday afternoon, with some more on-and-off scattered showers & possible tshowers Saturday night and Sunday. A second, deeper low pressure system will usher in more showers for portions of Monday. In its wake, a genuinely Cool pattern will be established for next week. This type of pattern is somewhat unusual for July, and to have it occur twice in 2 weeks makes it more unusual.
