Nascar superstar to visit local GM plant

TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB)- A Nascar superstar will meet the people who help power the local GM plant.

Team Chevy driver Kasey Kahne will stop by Tonawanda Engine on Wednesday. He will do a meet and greet and tour the Gen-5 Line. As part of his visit, the GM Foundation will donate $60,000 in grants to community agencies.

Kahne will be there with Watkins Glen International President Michael Printup, GM Foundation Vice President Lori Wingerter, Tonawanda Engine Plant Manager Steve Finch, UAW Local 774 Shop Chairman Bob Coleman, and community leaders and elected officials. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
