Man walking along road accused of carrying drugs

CATTARAUGUS, N.Y. (WIVB) – The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office was responding to a complaint of an unwanted person in the town of New Albion, when they spotted a man walking on the shoulder of Route 353.

Deputies asked the man, 22-year-old Daniel Lenahan of Cattaraugus, if he was carrying drugs and he indicated that he had a bottle of pills. Lenahan was charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance for having three kinds of drugs on his person.

He is due back in Town of New Albion Court at a later date.
