Molotov cocktail thrown at Buffalo home

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – For the second time in less than a week, someone has thrown a homemade firebomb at a Buffalo home.

A Molotov cocktail was hurled at an apartment complex Thursday morning, making it the second since last Friday. The homemade firebomb left smoke damage, melted siding and a lot of fear for the family living inside.

The people who were the targets of Thursday morning’s attack believe they know who’s responsible.

Edwin Rios woke up to the loud bang and the smell of smoke.

Edwin served overseas in the Army and can’t believe he’s come home to this.

“I feel that I’m trapped. I can’t go outside freely,” he said. “Out there you can expect it but here in the city you’re supposed to be safe, it’s supposed to be the United States of America.”

Buffalo Police say the damage was contained to the outside of the building and no one was injured.
