Families release balloons over Ellicottville

ELLICOTTVILLE, N.Y. (WIVB) – Dozens of families touched by leukodystrophy released balloons over Ellicottville on Friday.

Holiday Valley hosted a 16th annual symposium put on by the Hunter’s Hope Foundation. Jim and Jill Kelly, whose son Hunter lived with Krabbe disease for over eight years, were among the people who were on hand.

Families wrote messages on balloons to their loved ones before releasing them. Afterwards, everyone took part in the “Every Step” walk.
