Hiker on marked trail falls down embankment

NIAGARA FALLS, O.N. (WIVB) – Emergency responders in Niagara Falls, Ontario rescued a hiker Friday morning after she fell down an embankment.

Police say the 39-year-old woman was hiking on marked trails in the Niagara River gorge below the glen when she fell from the edge, approximately 20 feet down an embankment.

Crews rescued the woman and brought her to street level, when she was transported to a hospital with apparent non-life threatening injuries.
