SUV strikes child in front of school

ALEXANDER, N.Y. (WIVB) – A child was crossing the street in Alexander when he was struck by an SUV, Wednesday morning.

Police say the 8-year-old boy was hit in front of the Alexander Schools on Buffalo Street. He was flown by Mercy Flight to Women and Children’s Hospital in Buffalo, where he is in stable condition.

Christopher Earsing, 30, of Alexander, was driving eastbound when he struck the boy, who was crossing the street going south. Earsing was not injured.

There is no word if Earsing will face charges.
