BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - The Buffalo Bandits are bringing back record-setting goaltender Anthony Cosmo, signing him to a one-year contract today.
Cosmo, who set a new NLL league record last season with 752 saves. He finished third in save percentage, posting a .797.
“We are very pleased to have Anthony return for another season,” said GM Steve Dietrich in a press release. “Last season, ‘Coz’ proved that he remains one of the top goaltenders in the game and re-signing in Buffalo shows that he wants nothing more than to bring a Champion’s Cup back home to ‘Banditland’.”
The 14-year veteran is a five-time NLL All-Star, and was the 2007 NLL Goaltender of the Year. He is a finalist for that award again this year.
