Van Miller to be placed on Wall of Fame in October

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) – A local broadcasting legend, who used to work at News 4, will soon have his name on the Buffalo Bills Wall of Fame.

Miller served as the Bills radio play-by-play announcer for 37 seasons. He’s 86-years-old and will become the only play-by-play announcer on the Wall of Fame for the team he regularly covered. The former “Voice of the Bills” will receive the prestigious honor on October 12.

The Bills current play-by-play announcer, John Murphy, told News 4 Sports, “Van did it for 37 years and he did it exceptionally well for 37 years. He brought high energy and accuracy to the table. He was born for the job.”

The official induction ceremony will take place when the Bills take on the Vikings on October 12.
