Batavia Police look for slasher

BATAVIA, N.Y. (WIVB) — Police in Batavia are looking for a slasher who sent one man to the hospital.

The attack happened around 2 p.m. Sunday at an apartment on Ellicott Street. Investigators say the victim is a man in his 30’s, and was visiting the apartment when he was stabbed. He was taken to Strong Hospital, and is expected to survive.

Police say they are looking for a man and a woman who drove off in a maroon minivan or SUV. The weapon used in the incident was not recovered.
