Falls ramping up bike-friendly efforts with new racks

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) – The City of Niagara Falls is ramping up its bike-friendly efforts by installing new bike racks, making it easier for cyclists to find a user-friendly parking space.

New bicycle racks are popping up in the city’s business districts and community centers thanks to a several groups and a grant called “Creating Healthy Places” from the New York State Department of Health.

You can spot the racks on 3rd Street, Main Street and Pine Avenue as well as in local parks and community centers.

The racks feature a waterfall design created by the Orleans-Niagara BOCES welding program.
