Two alleged drunk drivers charged after crashing into ditches

SINCLAIRVILLE, N.Y. (WIVB) – Two men were arrested Saturday on the southern tier after State Police say, in separate incidents, the men crashed into ditches while driving drunk.

James Huston, Jr. was arrested Saturday just before 9 a.m. on Prospect Street in Sinclairville. Troopers say he was driving drunk with a BAC of .17 percent when he crashed his vehicle into a ditch. Huston was charged with DWI, no inspection and unsafe tires.

Around 4:30 p.m. in North Harmony, Scott Nelson was arrested for DWI. State Police say the 62-year-old had a BAC of .23 percent when he backed into a ditch. Nelson is also facing charges of uninspected motor vehicle and having an open container.
