BRADFORD, PA. (WIVB) – A blast heard throughout Bradford on Tuesday injured a worker at Metalico Bradford Goodman Services.

The explosion occurred when an employee at the recycling company was cutting into a crude oil tank with a circular cut-off saw. Officials say the vapors in the tank were somehow ignited by the gas-powered saw.

The force of the blast split the tank in half.

The name of the victim has not been released. One other worker in the area was treated on the scene for minor injuries.
