Budweiser Clydesdales trotting back into WNY

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – The world famous Budweiser Clydesdales are making a return visit to Western New York.

The majestic horses will stop by the Seneca Allegany Casino in Salamanca Wednesday from noon to 2 p.m.

From August 7 through August 12, and again on August 16, the Clydesdales will make an appearance at 4 p.m. at 5600 McKinley Parkway in Hamburg.

Supervisor Dave Thomas said, “They’re pretty special horses, they’re very large, they stand about 6-feet tall at their shoulders and they’re going to weigh about 2,000 pounds. Each one of them has their own personality, so they’re all a little bit different to work with every day.”

The horses will visit Goat Island in Niagara Falls August 13 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

They will wrap up their summer stay in Western New York with an appearance at the Bisons game at Coca-Cola Field August 14 at 1:05 p.m.

The Clydesdales drew big crowds in May when they trotted down Elmwood Avenue in Buffalo.

The iconic horses made their first appearance on behalf of Anheuser-Busch in 1933.
