Buffalo Christian Center to close after 56 years

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Expensive repairs have led the Buffalo Christian Center to close its Pearl Street facility in Buffalo.

The BCC has served Western New York for 56 years, but says repairs to its building would cost $5 million. Because of the high cost, the organization instead opted to sell the building and spin off its three primary programs to reputable organizations.

With money from the sale of the building, the BCC will open a foundation with the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo, allowing it to continue accomplishing its mission.
