ELMA, N.Y. (WIVB) – A mother is accused of driving while intoxicated during a crash that left her children in the hospital.
The Erie County Sheriff’s Office said 27-year-old Erica Reska was involved in a single-car rollover in Elma just after midnight Wednesday.
Reska was driving eastbound on Clinton Road when she lost control of her Ford Explorer, according to the sheriff’s office. The Explorer left the roadway and rolled over, before landing in a small creek. Reska’s sons, ages 2 and 7, were inside the vehicle.
Her children were transported to Women and Children’s Hospital, where they were admitted for injuries. Reska was taken to Erie County Medical Center, where she was treated and released.
Reska is charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, felony driving while intoxicated under Leandra’s Law, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
