Driver accused of .26 percent BAC

LANCASTER, N.Y. (WIVB) – A driver is accused of having more than three times the legal blood alcohol content.

Erie County Sheriff’s deputies stopped 51-year-old Daniel Vohwinkel for driving erratically Wednesday night on Broadway in the Village of Lancaster. He took field sobriety tests and was charged with DWI. His blood alcohol content was allegedly .26 percent.

Vohwinkel is charged with aggravated DWI because his BAC was greater than .18 percent.
