Leg. approves contract for Erie County’s largest union

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – The Erie County Legislature approved a contract for the county’s largest union on Thursday.

After eight years of negotiations, CSEA members approved a new contract with the county, the fifth successfully negotiated by the Poloncarz administration.

The new contract will cover the years 2008-2016 and includes wage increases for 2014, 2015 and 2016, as well as cost-saving modifications to health insurance coverage.

County employees represented by CSEA had been without a contract since the previous one expired in 2006, and have not received a wage increase since then either.
