Digital archives now available at Forest Lawn Cemetery

BUFFALO N.Y. (WIVB) — A big addition to Forest Lawn Cemetery is now open to the public.

The Margaret L. Wendt Archive and Resource center opened this weekend.  The center will offer digital copies of books, records, and certificates of people who are buried in Forest Lawn.

“Either through the internet or here, you can begin to tell your story or ask about your heritage,” said Joseph Dispenza, President of Forest Lawn Group.  “No matter where you go in the United States, you bump into somebody who says ‘Oh my uncle, my aunt, my grandparents were from Buffalo’. Well, most likely their story will be here in our archive.”

Digitizing of the archived records should be complete in the next few months.
