Fire damages two homes on city’s west side

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Buffalo Fire Investigators are looking into what sparked a fire on the city’s west side late Saturday night.

The fire broke out just before midnight at a vacant house on Busti Avenue, Saturday. Officials say the fire started on the second floor.

A house next door was also damaged by the flames; it sustained an estimated $45,000 in damages to the home and contents.

The Red Cross is assisting two adults and one child from the home next door.
