TOWN OF WILSON, N.Y. (WIVB) – Niagara County Sheriff deputies and emergency responders were called to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Braley Road Saturday afternoon. Stephen Olejar, 57, from Lewiston was left with serious injuries and flown to ECMC after the motorcycle he was riding was struck by a car.

According to the Sheriff’s office, Olejar was operating a motorcycle traveling west on Braley Road as a vehicle driven by Dawne Flammger, 57, of Tonawanda, was heading east.

Flammger did not see the motorcycle and made a left turn, causing her car to hit Olejar and throw him from his motorcycle, according to investigators.

Olejar was treated at the scene and taken by Mercy Flight to ECMC for treatment of multiple fractures. A passenger in Flammger’s car was taken to Mount St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston by ambulance for a minor injury.

Flammger was charged with failure to yield the right of way. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
