Author who visited every NFL stadium says Bills fans are the “drunkest”

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – An author who attended a game at every single NFL stadium in the 2013 season has declared Buffalo Bills fans as “the drunkest.”

Sean MacDonald wrote a book called “Ultimate Football Road Trip” and says Bills fans are the drunkest out of all the venues he visited. He said the inside of Ralph Wilson Stadium was like a free-for-all and too many fans got out of control.

MacDonald was at the Bills-Bengals game on October 13, 2013 but says he encountered Bills fans twice while out on the road, and it only confirmed his observations that they are the drunkest.

“Buffalo, like the many industrial cities in the cold northeast, is a hard-drinking town, but too many fans are simply out of control at Bills games…. I believe that most are capable of controlling their alcohol intake, but here, the majority is simply trying to get as drunk as possible,” the author writes.

MacDonald, who is a Bills fan, ranks Ralph Wilson Stadium as 20th of the 32 NFL Stadium after looking at criteria like parking, cost, aesthetics and fans. He ranked Lambeau Field in Green Bay as number one, and Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis as last.

The author has been to a game in all 122 stadiums in the NFL, MLB, NBA and NHL.
