Car leaves roadway, strikes tree and mailboxes

HAMBURG, N.Y. (WIVB) – A Hamburg man is accused of driving drunk at the time of a property damage accident on Mayer Road, in the Town of Boston.

The Erie County Sheriff’s Office said 33-year-old James Weiss crashed his vehicle at 1 a.m. Wednesday. Deputies say Weiss’ vehicle left the roadway, struck a tree and hit a couple mailboxes.

No one was injured in the crash.

Weiss was charged with DWI and other traffic violations. Deputies say he submitted a breath test that revealed a .13 percent BAC.
