Police arrest passenger during traffic stop

HANOVER, N.Y. (WIVB) – A vehicle was stopped for speeding in the Town of Hanover, Tuesday afternoon, and a passenger ended up facing charges.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office says 22-year-old Rebecca Oswald was speeding when she was stopped. Officials say the passenger, 23-year-old Aaron Joehlin, of Michigan, had pot, narcotics and drug paraphernalia.

Joehlin was ticketed for possession of a marijuana and possession of controlled substance outside original container. Oswald was cited for speed.

They are both scheduled to appear in Town of Hanover Court.
