TORONTO, ONT. (WIVB) – A new attraction is being proposed for Niagara Falls – a specially-crafted vehicle that would actually plunge visitors over the falls and use a parachute to slow it down.
The Toronto Globe and Mail details the concept in their Prototypes column by Charles Bombardier of the Quebec-based Bombardier Company, which is in the business of designing and manufacturing vehicles.
The thrill ride would have an eight-passenger vehicle, possibly constructed out of Kevlar, with special safety features and shock-absorbing bumpers.
The designers feel there is a market for this type of attraction and that it could be possible with current technology.
The Daredevil would need stabilizers to slow the descent over the Falls and a drag anchor or parachute.
