Man accused of stealing handgun, jewelry from home

ARCADE, N.Y. (WIVB) – Deputies arrested a man on Monday who they say stole a handgun, jewelry and other items from a home in Wyoming County.

Travis Cook has been charged with second degree burglary, third degree grand larceny and second degree criminal mischief. Deputies say the 26-year-old Franklinville man broke into a home in the Town of Arcade last April.

The handgun and other stolen items were recovered by police agencies, including the State Police Dive Team.
