Police say man was growing marijuana in his yard

MEDINA, N.Y. (WIVB) – An Orleans County man brazenly grew marijuana along the fence in his yard, according to authorities.

James Hobbs was arrested Thursday at his Park Avenue home in Medina. Police say they found 20 marijuana plants growing on the 67-year-old’s property along with a small quantity of dried marijuana.

Hobbs is charged with unlawfully growing and unlawful possession of marijuana. Additional charges are likely pending lab results.

He is due back in court in October.
