Family of man who died of cancer brings flowers to Roswell staff

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – The family of a man who lost his battle with cancer continued a gesture he started at Roswell Park Cancer Institute.

While he was a patient, Philip Tallmadge made it a habit to surprise people with flowers. He lost his battle with cancer last month.

On Friday, his family brought 150 bouquets to Roswell Park as a way to thank the staff for all they do.

Sue Tallmadge, Philip’s mother, said, “These folks are amazing, day after day, and they see so much and it’s an amazing place, absolutely an amazing place, wouldn’t have been anywhere else.”

Philip was just 20 years old when he passed away.
