Driver accused of DWI with juvenile in car

LANCASTER, N.Y. (WIVB) – A Cheektowaga man is facing several charges, including felony DWI, after being stopped for failing to dim his high beam headlights on Pavement Road in Lancaster, Tuesday morning.

New York State Police stopped Corey Shane just before 1 a.m. Troopers say the 21-year-old showed signs of intoxicated and failed field sobriety tests. A breath test reportedly showed Shane had a BAC of .13 percent.

Troopers say in addition to marijuana, Shane had a passenger in the vehicle less than 16-years-old.

Shane was arrested and charged with aggravated DWI, a felony, unlawful possession of marijuana and traffic violations.

He is due back in Town of Lancaster Court at a later date. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
