Man admits attempting to rob driver with AK-47

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – A Buffalo man has pleaded guilty to attempting to rob a cab driver last July while wielding a loaded AK-47.

After the attempted robbery, the cab driver sped off and alerted the police. Daron Lipscomb, 22, was arrested shortly after the incident while in the passenger seat of another vehicle with the loaded assault rifle between his legs.

Lipscomb also pleaded guilty to two other robberies in Buffalo that happened in April and June.
