Fight breaks out during Bills camp

fight still

PITTSFORD, N.Y. (WIVB) – A fight broke out during goal line work late in Wednesday’s Buffalo Bills practice at St. John Fisher.

Rookie defensive end Bryan Johnson was right in the middle of the scrap, pulling center Eric Wood’s helmet off in the middle of the action. Scott Chandler also got involved, going to the ground with Johnson, before coaches and players pulled everyone apart.

Bills head coach Doug Marrone, who has been very critical of fights during training camp, was not pleased after practice.

“I don’t think there’s any place in this game for any type of scuffles,” said Marrone. “We put some new players in and fumbled the snap at the one yard line. That’s what happens when those things occur.”

“I don’t know that it’s good, but it happens,” said Chandler. “I don’t know that it’s always productive.”

The rest of practice wrapped up without incident.
