Greater restrictions coming for hydrocodone

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Greater restrictions are coming for a powerful painkiller that is widely abused.

On Thursday, Senator Charles Schumer announced the DEA will change hydrocodone from a Schedule III to a Schedule II drug, putting tighter controls on how doctors can prescribe hydrocodone and the amount.
