Pizza deliveryman phones in bogus homicide tip

CLARKSON, N.Y. (WIVB) – A pizza deliveryman is facing charges after he allegedly phoned in a fake homicide tip.

Television stations in Rochester report 18-year-old Mason Requa of Holley called in the bogus tip on West Ridge Road in Clarkson Wednesday night because he was afraid he would be fired for being late on a delivery.

Police say Requa provided a lot of details, prompting a four hour search, after which he admitted he made it all up.

Requa is charged with falsely reporting an incident. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
