NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) – A father whose little girl was murdered by a family friend in Niagara Falls is pursuing legal action.

In 2012, 5-year-old Isabella Tenant was killed by teenager John Freeman, who was babysitting her. There are reports Michael Tenant is suing his daughter’s great grandparents.

Isabella’s father claims the great grandparents were negligent because they went to bed and left Isabella in Freeman’s care.

Freeman was sentenced last September to 22 years to life in prison for second degree murder.
