Williams looking forward to Saturday’s homecoming

PITTSFORD, N.Y. (WIVB) – For Bills receiver Mike Williams, Saturday is more than just a preseason game. It’s a chance to step onto the field at his hometown stadium for the first time.

Williams, a Riverside High School grad, has about 280 friends and family members planning to attend the game Saturday. He couldn’t help but smile, when talking about the opportunity this week.

“Playing in my home town and getting called out in my home town stadium, a team that I only knew of the Bills growing up. It’s going to be a special thing for me,” said Williams. “Yeah, it’s going to be surreal. I still don’t believe it’s here. I can’t wait for Saturday, for it to happen.”

The Bills take on Tampa Bay Saturday at 4:30. The Bucs have former UB and Grover Cleveland star Steven Means on the roster. Like Williams, local products Corey Graham, Jimmy Gaines, and Derek Brim will make their Ralph Wilson Stadium debuts Saturday as members of the Bills. The other local product on the team, Naaman Roosevelt, played in the Ralph earlier in his career during his first stint with the Bills.
