CLARENCE, N.Y. (WIVB) – One day after Bills defensive tackle Alan Branch was arrested for a DWI, the team released the veteran. State police in Clarence arrested Branch early Saturday morning for DWI.

The incident happened around 2:15 a.m.

The Bills held Branch out of Saturday’s preseason game against Tampa Bay.

“I’m going to meet with him tomorrow,” said Bills head coach Doug Marrone after Saturday’s preseason game. “I found out somewhere around noon midday. I just had so much on my mind. I tried to call him and couldn’t get a hold of him, so I just got ahold of him some other way through other people and said, ‘I’ll meet with you tomorrow.’ That’s all I know for a fact. I can’t say anything else.” provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
