Police: Driver on Rx meds didn’t know where she was

ALBION, N.Y. (WIVB) – State Police say a woman was so impaired by prescription medications, that when they pulled her over, she didn’t even know where she was.

Troopers arrested Karen Lemaster, 54, of Batavia on Saturday and charged her with operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs.

State Police say they located Lemaster on Rt. 98 in the Town of Albion after receiving a report of a driver operating erratically. Troopers say when they stopped Lemaster, she was very confused, unaware of her current location, and unclear on how the damage occurred to the front of her vehicle.

Lemaster was taken to Medina Memorial Hospital, where she submitted a blood test. After being released, she was taken for processing.

She is due back in court in September.
