Three arrested after meth lab found in trailer park

BROCTON, N.Y. (WIVB) – Three people were arrested over the weekend and charged with making meth inside a trailer park on the southern tier.

Shortly before 11 a.m. on Saturday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office was called to Ellicott Estates in Brocton to check on the welfare of Susan Spontaneo. When deputies arrived, the 29-year-old indicated there may be a problem with 35-year-old Austin Syper, inside the trailer.

Deputies entered the trailer and found Syper along with 40-year-old Brian Saden and a working meth lab.

Authorities obtained a search warrant and experts arrived to gather evidence.

All three, Spontaneo, Syper and Saden, were charged with third degree unlawfully manufacturing methamphetamine. They are being held in Chautauqua County Jail pending further court action and will likely face additional charges. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
