BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – An equipment financing provider opened its new headquarters in the Electric Tower Thursday.

Blue Bridge Financial, LLC, will keep 12 jobs in Western New York and create 71 additional jobs over a five-year period, according to Governor Andrew Cuomo.

Cuomo’s office said the business found several locations across New York and out-of-state but decided to move into a 5,500 square-foot space in Buffalo.

Blue Bridge CEO Mark Debacher said, “We’re excited about building on the energy and the momentum here, in the downtown business corridor, and certainly I believe our staff will add a lot to that momentum.”

The company qualified for up to $586,173 in performance-based Excelsior Jobs Program tax credits from Empire State Development.

“I commend Blue Bridge Financial for the company’s decision to move its worldwide headquarters to the region and for taking part in Buffalo’s transformation,” Governor Cuomo said. “This administration has worked hard to create an environment where businesses are able to grow and thrive in New York and this is even more evidence that Buffalo and Western New York are on the move.” provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
