Incident involving CPS leads to charges


BOLIVAR, N.Y. (WIVB) – An incident that involved Child Protective Services resulted in serious charges against a man in Allegany County.

Sheriff Ricky L. Whitney reports 60-year-old Scott A. Sexton was arrested during an incident at his residence on Phillips Hill Road, in Bolivar. They did not release details on what the situation involved.

Sexton was charged with three counts of endangering the welfare of a child and one count of unlawful possession of marijuana. He was processed and remanded to the Allegany County Jail on $5,00 cash bail or $10,000 bond.
