68-year-old man charged with stealing a kayak

EAST RANDOLPH, N.Y. (WIVB) – Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s deputies arrested 68-year-old James Campbell and charged him with second burglary degree and larceny.

Deputies say the charges originated from a domestic violence incident that occurred Thursday in East Randolph.

Campbell allegedly tried to get into the victim’s garage, breaking the garage door. Officials say he then forced his way in the front door and forced the victim to the floor. He then allegedly entered the garage and stole a kayak.

Campbell was arraigned in Town of Randolph Court a was sent to the Cattaraugus County jail on $2,500 bail.
