WNYers gather for annual Labor Day Parade

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Western New Yorkers took time to celebrate the pride and tradition of hard work by gathering in South Buffalo for the annual Labor Day Parade.

CSEA Erie County Local and Unit President Denise Szymura said CSEA workers are happy they have a contract this Labor Day, for the first time since 2007.

When workers hit the polls this year, Szymura said workers are looking for accountability from politicians. She said laborers want politicians who look after the American public.

New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman was at the parade, where he issued a report highlighting his office’s labor enforcement work.
