Alleged heroin dealer taken into custody

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WIVB) – Early Tuesday morning, a man was taken into custody who police say has been selling heroin in Jamestown.

The Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force raided William Rogers’ apartment on Terrace Place in the city and charged him with third degree criminal sale and possession of a controlled substance.

Inside the 26-year-old’s apartment, officers say they found over 12 bundles, or 125 dosage units, of heroin, a large amount of currency, scales, marijuana, and other drug paraphernalia.

He is being charged with additional counts of third degree criminal sale and possession of a controlled substance as a result of the search, as well as second degree criminally using drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Rogers is currently being held without bail.
