Abbott Road in Orchard Park to be re-paved

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) – Some much-needed repairs are coming to a busy road in Orchard Park.

Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz announced Wednesday Abbott Road will be added to a list of roads to be fixed this year. The section between Route 20A and Armor Duells Road will be milled and re-paved.

“People ask us, what about Bills games? Luckily we’ll be doing this after Bills games,” he assured.

Construction on Abbott Road is expected to begin September 22. The project will take about two weeks to finish. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
