BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Some familiar faces will be behind the bench later this month in Buffalo, with ex-Sabre Mike Grier and former NHL star Ed Olczyk set to coach in the All-American Prospects Game at First Niagara Center.
Grier, who had two stints with the Sabres during his 15-year playing career, has been a youth coach since retiring in 2011. This summer, Grier was an on-ice instructor at USA Hockey’s Boys’ Select 17 Player Development Camp.
Olczyk spent 16 years in the NHL as a player, and is also the former head coach of the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The prospects game will hit the ice in Buffalo on Thursday, September 25th.
