TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) – Police say a man stabbed a woman during an argument inside a vehicle early Sunday morning on River Road near Two-Mile Creek in the Town of Tonawanda.
The victim and 28-year-old Christopher Johnson were driving along the road around 1:15 a.m. when police say the woman pulled over to talk. Officers say the Buffalo man became irate and attacked the woman, biting her, grabbing her face and stabbing her in the hand with a pocket knife.
Johnson then allegedly fled the scene with some of her property.
He was arrested a short time later for first and second degree robbery, second degree assault, fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon and fourth degree criminal mischief. He is being held without bail and is scheduled for a felony hearing on Thursday.
This is one of three stabbing arrests made in Tonawanda over a four-day period. Another incident involved a dispute over a boyfriend and the third involved a woman stabbed during a dispute in an apartment.
