Man claiming he has bomb robs Hamburg bank

HAMBURG, N.Y. (WIVB) – A man claiming he had a bomb robbed the Northwest Savings Bank in Hamburg on Wednesday.

The suspect entered the bank on McKinley Parkway around 12:30 p.m. and slipped the teller a note demanding cash. He fled the scene southbound on McKinley in a tan or gray compact car with gold New York license plates.

The man is described as white and around 6′ tall. He was wearing a black mask, a black South Pole limited edition hooded sweatshirt and black sneakers with white stripes.
