Three free rabies clinics open to Erie County residents

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Residents in Erie County will have three opportunities in September to have their pets vaccinated against rabies, free of charge.

The events for pet dogs, cats and ferrets are being held by the Erie County Department of Health in collaboration with the Medaille College Veterinary Technology program and the SPCA serving Erie County.

The following are the days and times of the free rabies clinics:

State law requires rabies vaccinations for all cats, dogs and domesticated ferrets no later than four months after its date of birth.
